NOTICE OF YOUR RIGHTS IN THE EVENT OF DENIED BOARDING‚ FLIGHT DELAY OR FLIGHT CANCELLATION

This notice contains important information about your rights established by the Consumer Protection Regulation 2023 recently enacted in Nigeria in the event that you hold a valid air ticket for a flight and you are denied boarding‚ or your flight is delayed beyond its scheduled departure time as described below or your flight is cancelled.

Scope of Document

  • The Regulation applies:
    • To passengers departing from an airport located within Nigerian territory to another airport within Nigeria
    • To passengers departing from an airport located in another Country to airport situated within Nigeria‚ unless they received benefits or compensation and were given assistance in that other country‚ if the operating air carrier of the flight concerned is a Nigerian carrier;
  • The Regulations applies only on the condition that:
    • You have a confirmed reservation on the flight concerned‚
    • You (except in case of cancellation) present yourself in time for check-in as stipulated by our airline on your ticket or‚ if no time is indicated‚ at least 2 hours before the published departure time‚
    • Only if you travel on a ticket bought at a fare available to the public. Please note that the Regulation will not apply to passengers travelling free of charge or at a reduced fare not available directly or indirectly to the public.
